MATARAT Holding signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) on the sidelines of the Future Aviation Forum to promote cooperation and exchange information and expertise between the two parties in areas of common interest.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Mohammed Almowkley, CEO of MATARAT Holding Company, and Jeffrey A. Mulder, Co-Chair of International Association of Airport Executives, Director of Airports, Oklahoma City Airport Trust (Oklahoma). This comes within MATARAT's efforts to bring over successful global experiences in airports management to improve service quality and qualify national cadres.

Through the MoU, the parties aim to discuss areas of cooperation in promoting the development of professional skills of MATARAT and its subsidiaries through developing and facilitating a world-class training program in Saudi Arabia for executives and staff.

According to the MoU, AAAE/IAAE will provide two-year IAAE memberships to up to 250 individual airport executives and staff who have active responsibility for the management of operation of an airport.  AAAE/IAAE will also offer training programs such as senior airport management leadership program that include leadership training at AAAE’s headquarters, as well as airport tours in the New York City and Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas.  In addition to the Airport Management Senior Leadership Program which includes Leadership training at IAAE Headquarters,  International Aerodrome Certified Employee program that is based on the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and covers a variety of aerodrome topics, including safety management systems, aerodrome operations and maintenance, environmental issues related to aerodrome operations, security issues related to airport operations, emergency planning, and more. And ANTN Digicast system that provides training on every aspect needed to run an airport such as operations, maintenance, security, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF), as well as study group airport tours that include visits to several U.S. airports to exchange information on specific topics such as cybersecurity, facilities management, airport infrastructure, passenger and cargo security, etc.

The International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE) is AAAE’s affiliated organization that provides networking, training and educational services to airport executives and staff around the world.
